LGM ENGINEERING ACQUIRES THE ATEX CERTIFICATION FOR SYSTEM INTEGRATION

  • Data

As officially announced during IVS 2019 in Bergamo, LGM Engineering acquires the ATEX Certification for assemblies and system integration. This means that after controls and internal validations, LGM ENGINEERING can assign the ATEX certification on the realized assembly.

But what exactly does the ATEX on assemblies refer to?

ATEX legislation is applied on single products or to a combination of them; as for PED, also the aggregates of products can be associated to a single directive in case in the assembly conveys a risk of ignition. In particular, is defined as “assembly” a combination of product destinated to be equipped with an actioning system that differs from the human direct strength, composed by parts or components, linked togheter for a well-defined application.

The experience brings to think that in the field of industrial application there’s not only a single stakeholder that is responsible for the immission on the market of an assembly, but the end-user that implements a process using different stakeholders to implement the procedure. That’s why the importance of a third party that grants on the value of the final product/assembly is necessary in avoiding any possible complication or risk.
